The week before Christmas Paul's best friend Nate called and asked if he, his wife Kristi and their two kids, Isaiah (13) and Kiela (6), could move in with us. We wondered if they understood our current living situation (the double wide!). After talking it over we realized we couldn't say no. So on New Year's day we became a family of seven! Nate is a police officer in Redmond, WA and has taken a position with the International Justice Mission in Calcutta, India. They rented their home and needed a place to land before they leave for India. They will live in Calcutta for three to five years while Nate works with local authorities to fight child trafficking. So for the next several weeks there are a few more shoes in the mud room, cars in the driveway, chairs around the table and loads in the laundry room. But considering the mission they are about to embark, our part is pretty easy.
