I woke up on Black Friday and was a year older. It was 7:30, the sun was shining and I was still in bed (yeah!). We quickly took advantage of the beautiful morning ~ with hot cups of coffee in hand, we grabbed Claire and Scout and went for our usual walk around the property. What a great start to my 34th year (I just completed 33...)!
When I was younger I had difficulty appreciating a birthday that often fell on or near Thanksgiving and one that was always shared with my sister (the 28th). My sister loved pumpkin pie and I was clearly not a fan...this did not change the fact that I have many birthday pictures in front of a pumpkin pie with candles in it. But now, it is pretty fun (and I don't have to eat said pumpkin pie)! Stacia and I did some shopping and had dinner with my mom on Tuesday. Friday night was a celebration with Paul's family (his sister's birthday is next Friday). Tonight my sister and I will have dinner with some friends.
